Learner’s Leap strongly believes that the best learning takes place when a student is approached holistically. At the core of my teaching philosophy is a dedication to tailoring each learning experience to the unique needs and learning styles of every student. I am a multi-certified educator with a wealth of experience providing direct instruction across a diverse range of subjects and settings. With 16+ years of educational expertise in areas including special education, inclusion & co-teaching models, small group instruction, and individualized support spanning grades 3-8, I bring a comprehensive understanding of effective teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of every learner.
Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Theatre, coupled with a Master’s of Education Degree in Special Education, my educational background equips me with a myriad of impactful tools and learning strategies. I am passionate about personalizing the virtual learning experience, ensuring that each session is not only academically enriching but also tailored to your unique learning style in a positive and nurturing environment. Actively engaging with the virtual and local community with opportunities connected to nature & the world around us, positively contributes to the educational landscape that I provide, encouraging continuous feedback and reflection in all areas of one’s learning journey.
I hold a multitude of additional certifications, including specialized training in Wilson Reading, Mental Health First Aid, and expertise in various online learning tools and platforms. This diverse skill set allows me to provide comprehensive support, ensuring a holistic learning experience for every student. In addition to my teaching credentials, I bring a unique, creative, & fun perspective as an experienced floral designer. To enrich my teaching approach, I have conducted workshops for all ages, infusing my passion for hands-on and creative experiences in the learning journey.

Hello Friends! I'm Ms. Sarah, an educator with a passion for unlocking the potential in every learner. With over 16 years of teaching and tutoring experiences in diverse educational settings, both rural and inner-city schools across Massachusetts and beyond, I've witnessed firsthand the challenges students face when entering the classroom with significant learning gaps. Holding multiple teaching licenses and certifications, I observed a growing trend of students lacking essential foundational skills in academics, study skills, executive function, & more.
In the conventional brick and mortar learning classroom setting, despite interventions and best intentions, the constraints of time and space made it challenging to provide personalized, one-on-one attention to address these gaps. Many students grappled with academic deficits, leading to a negative impact on their motivation and outlook on learning. At Learner’s Leap, we understand the multifaceted challenges students and parents face today.
Driven by the desire to make a difference, I founded Learner’s Leap. Your quest for answers has been heard! Continuous improvement is at the core of my philosophy, and I actively seek out exceptional teaching strategies, courses, and opportunities to enhance my own learning. Learner’s Leap is built on the belief that learning and questioning should be a positive experience. I believe in creating an atmosphere where students and their families feel comfortable, heard, and free to be themselves, while alleviating some of the pressure on families feeling overwhelmed while balancing new information, daily stressors, and utilizing new digital tools. I believe in providing meaningful instruction and exceptional teaching strategies to empower students to feel confident and prepared for the future, close learning gaps, foster authentic connections, and support families throughout the educational journey. Learner’s Leap creates both workshops and one-on-one instruction and strategies that are designed to help even the most timid learner thrive and leap towards success!
